At Loving the Plant, we started with a simple belief: cannabis deserves honesty, transparency, and respect. 

Founded by Jessica Cox—also known as Jessi, JessiF, and JessiPuraVida—our platform grew out of years spent working across music, retail, adult, tech, and cannabis.

Jessica’s journey has always been rooted in passion for the plant and the people who consume it. 

From building cannabis projects for the biggest brands to training the very leaders active in the industry today, she has seen every side of the business. 

And while her work has often been copied, her mission has never wavered: to protect consumers, elevate cannabis culture, and bring integrity back to the space.

What began as a small, grassroots effort is now a multi-faceted platform. With initiatives like Cali On Lock (a consumer testing coalition) and Cannabis Vape Hardware (CVH) (domestic-first vape design and manufacturing), Loving the Plant continues to push the industry forward—one project, one product, one voice at a time.

We’re not just here to report on the cannabis world. 

We’re here to build it, challenge it, and love it.

Founder Jessica Cox is recognized as one of the most connected voices in the cannabis space—knowing more people across the global industry than almost anyone else. Her experience spans the full spectrum: from sales and retail, to design and development, to advocacy and education. She understands the industry A–Z because she’s helped build it.

Jessica is also a writer, producer, and cultural storyteller. Under her artist name JessiF, she wrote and produced “Jack Herer Wouldn’t Dare”, a project paying homage to one of cannabis’s most iconic figures. Her creative work, paired with her advocacy, underscores her belief that cannabis is more than a product—it’s a movement.

Beyond the industry, Jessica is a mom, wife, and autism advocate, blending her professional leadership with deep personal purpose. With two dogs at her side, she brings both heart and vision to Loving the Plant—reminding us that authenticity and love for the plant should always guide the work we do.
